Culinary Classes
Develop the skills necessary to become confident home chef in our Culinary Center. Cooking classes include a wide range of topics from soup to nuts, hors d'oeuvres to desserts. Beginners to advanced cooks will be challenged by the offerings. There are classes for children and teens. Sessions on specific techniques and cuisines will be offered. The center is handicap accessible. Please contact the store and speak to a sales associate at 813-653-2418 option #3 for more information.

Classes are designed around three curriculum types:

Demonstration Classes
Allow for up to 30 participants during a chef-facilitated presentation. Participants enjoy the expertise of fully trained and accomplished instructors and food samples as the demonstration progresses. Guest chefs from local restaurants and cookbook authors will be invited from time to time.

Hands-On Classes
Up to 16 participants create menu-driven dishes. All levels of expertise are encouraged to participate. Participants prepare the dishes and sample the food with the group.

Skills Development Classes
Full curriculum, A-Z Culinary Skills Development, knife skills, and cooking methods are but a few of the courses offered. Classes on choosing the correct cookware, cutlery and tools are offered from time to time.

Class Registration
Payment is due in full at time of registration.  Registration for cooking classes can be placed online, in person or over the phone.  You can reach us by phone at 813-653-2418.  At this time Gift Cards cannot be used online to pay for classes.  You must call or come in person to use this form of payment.

Class Assistant Program
Join our cooking class assistant program and attend classes for free. As an assistant learn tips/techniques and get to work with the pros. You will assist the chef before, during and after class. After assisting at 5 classes, you will earn vouchers toward future classes. To become an assistant you will need to attend a Cooking Class Assistant Orientation and have attended at least one cooking class and Knife Skills I.
